Participants of Free European Song Contest 2021 Revealed

Since the Eurovision Song Contest was postponed due to the pandemic last year, multiple alternative contests were held. One of them is the Free European Song Contest.

The competition was presented by 2014 Eurovision winner, Conchita Wurst and Steven Gätjen. 16 countries participated in the Free European Song Contest 2020 and Nico Santos, who competed for Spain, won the competition. As soon as the contest was over, the authorities had confirmed that the contest will be held again next year.

A few weeks ago it was announced that the presenter will be again Conchita Wurst and Stevan Gatjen. 16 participating countries have been announced today.

 Croatia
 England
 France (Debut)
 Germany
 Greece (Debut)
 Ireland
 Italy
 Netherlands
 Poland
 Scotland (Debut)
 Slovenia (Debut)
 Spain
  Switzerland
 Turkey

Bulgaria, Denmark, Kazakhstan and Israel will not participate in the competition this year. Singers and Songs will be announced in the following days. The contest will be held on May 15 and will be broadcast live on ProSieben.
